Job Description

We are seeking a motivated undergraduate level 400 student with a 1st class or 2nd class upper to join our team as an Intern Junior Data Scientist. In this role, you will work closely with our data science team to develop and implement data-driven solutions. You will be involved in statistical analyses, predictive modeling, and machine learning projects to help us make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior data scientists in designing and implementing data-driven solutions
  •  Participate in the collection, processing, and analysis of data sets
  •  Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs
  •  Assist in the development and maintenance of predictive models 
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tools, techniques, and best practices in data science

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field
  •  Basic knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques
  • Familiarity with Python or R programming languages
  • Interest in learning about data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI 
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Desire to learn and grow as a data scientist

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL and relational databases is a plus
  • Interest in learning about big data technologies and cloud computing platforms
  • Indicate the link to your portfolio on your CV
  • Knowledge of ticketing tools like Trello and Jira
